Men charged over 'curse-lifting' abuse

TWO men high up in the Greek Orthdox and Coptic Orthodox communities will be charged with more than 220 sex offences against a young woman who believed she had been cursed.

The men, aged 61 and 38, were arrested at their Sydney homes this morning.

The 61-year-old Dulwich Hill man and 38-year-old Enfield man were expected to appear in Burwood Local Court today charged with 151 and 79 sexual offences, respectively.

Polcie alleged the Dulwich Hill man claimed to be a spiritual mentor who was able to “speak to angels” to remove curses and banish evil spirits including the “evil eye”.
