Jeg skjønner ikke Time listen

Time har gitt ut den årlige listen over hvem de mener er de hundre mest innflytelsesrike personer for 2008. Siden vi bare er i mai måned må jeg nesten anta at det ligger en liten spådom i dette og at det også er basert på tidligere prestasjoner. Men hvem er på listen?

1. Dalai Lama. Ok, men innflytelsesrik? Hva har han oppnådd egentlig? Har han frigitt Tibet? Jeg tror ikke det. Mest interessant er det at det er Deepak Chopra som han skrevet de rosende ordene om han. Time skriver om han: Chopra, author of more than 50 books on spirituality and medicine (...)

2. Vladimir Putin. Han er garantert innflytelsesrik.
3,4 og 5 er Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton og John McCain.
7. George W. Bush er definitivt innflytelsesrik. Kanskje han burde vært på førsteplass?
8. Jacob Zuma. WTF! Korrupt, polygamist, mulig voldtektsforbryter, slett retoriker, ingen politiske verv etc. Superlativene hagler ikke over han.
11. Den økumenske patriarken over Konstantinopel. Media omtaler byen som Istanbul men vi vet alle at vi egentlig snakker om Miklagard. Uansett så er han innflytelsesrik for å ha: insisted that ecological questions are essentially spiritual ones.
13. Muqtada al-Sadr. Ugh! Innflytelsesrik fordi han - (...) appeals to the poor Shi'ite masses and thereby controls the stability of southern Iraq.
17. Baitullah Mehsud. Hæ?! The details of Mehsud's biography are sketchy, as he shuns publicity. He is known to be in his mid-30s and to lead thousands of militants, many of them Mehsud tribesmen, in Waziristan
21. Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie
22. Oprah Winfrey. Hun har muligheten til å påvirke vil jeg tro.
25. Andre Agassi. Tennisspiller.
26. Lance Armstrong. Syklist.
27. Bob and Suzanne Wright. Aldri hørt om dem men det sies at de: They raised millions of dollars from their friends at events across the U.S. And they successfully lobbied the United Nations to place autism on the global health agenda.
28. Peter Gabriel, musiker. He has ubuntu. Det har jeg også!
29. Kaká. Fotballspiller.
33. Randy Pausch. Han har i hvert fall hatt innflytelse på meg. Fantastisk!
38. George Mitchel. ???
42. Larry Brilliant. Ikke hørt om han. He was a key player in the World Health Organization's eradication of smallpox and has worked with the U.N. to combat blindness in the developing world. In these and other enterprises, he sought innovative approaches and obtained a ground-level view of the complex issues that can impede great goals that are otherwise medically and technologically possible. His humanitarian spirit and grasp of science make him one of our leading social entrepreneurs.
43. Jeff Han. Er det mulig? Count me too as someone who believes Han has done more than start a great business; he has also dramatically changed the way we interact with our computers.
59. Miley Cyrus. Herregud! She seems to have good Christian values, with parents (including dad Billy Ray) teaching her important life lessons.
65. Mariah Carey. Jeg kan ikke navnet på en eneste sang.
77. Chris Rock. On John McCain's age: "How you going to make decisions about the future when you aren't going to be here?"
On the primaries: "What are superdelegates anyway? Certain white people count for nine?"
On black people not voting for Obama: "He reminds me too much of me."
On race: "Marion Jones is in jail. Don't you feel safe?"
80. Ali al-Naimi. Her har vi en kar med innflytelse!
81. Rupert Murdoch. Garantert innflytelse her.
82. Steve Jobs. Innflytelse? Ja, men burde ikke han hatt plassen til Han på 43?
87. Steve Ballmer. Hvis Han er på 43 og Jobs på 82 så virker det litt snodig at Ballmer er på usle 87.
91. Neelie Kroes. Aldri hørt om henne men hun blir beskrevet av Ayaan Hirsi Ali.
